General Courses

We believe that if you’re going to take the time to attend our service training program, then we want your experience to be all-encompassing. From the Basics of Ultrasound, to learning DICOM Standards and, from completing a Preventative Maintenance evaluation to experiencing advanced troubleshooting of various ultrasound platforms—you will learn it all, from the front end to the back end of an ultrasound system. On site training available upon request.

For every paid student*, Conquest Imaging provides a digital tablet with the lesson plan installed along with Instant Messenger™ for parts orders, and Skype™ for follow up Technical Support.

*Digital tablets are available to scholarship students at a nominal fee to cover the cost of the hardware.

Ultrasound Basics

This course puts a foundation of information into place for a wide variety of Basic Ultrasound topics. This course is the right starting point if you’re new to the industry. It is also an excellent refresher to keep your technical edge sharp. There are multiple modules to Ultrasound Basics:

  • Diagnostic ultrasound – the application
  • Physical principles
  • The transducer: probe technology and type
  • Ultrasound imaging modes
  • Doppler principles
  • The ultrasound exam
  • Building blocks of an ultrasound system and examples

Multivendor Accreditation Compliant PM/DICOM

In this course attendees learn about DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) which is a standard for handling, storing, printing, and transmitting information in ultrasound, or any medical imaging department where equipment and systems are typically interconnected with the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model. The class will review networks, how they function, the role DICOM plays in healthcare information systems, and the tools typically used for support involving network and image management. The class lasts approximately eight hours. Key topics include:

  • Networking basics
  • The Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model
  • DICOM
  • DICOM tools
  • Hands-on practice on systems from multiple OEMs

NFPA 99 Electrical Testing

The NFPA (National Fire and Protection Association) 99 Class delivers the knowledge to perform electrical safety testing on ultrasound equipment in accordance with NFPA 99 code. This testing is required in the Preventative Maintenance procedures by the OEM for many different makes and models.

This is a perfect solution for those new to ultrasound or wanting a more in-depth training.
